Management of Health Food Dosage Forms: Analysis of Policy Requirements and Dosage Form Standards
On September 19, 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation publicly solicited opinions on the "Supplementary Dosage Forms and Excipients for Record-filing Products of Coenzyme Q10 and Melatonin as Health Food Raw Materials (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft for Comments"). This move provides support for further advancing the record-filing management of health foods, stimulating the internal vitality of the special food industry, and meeting the actual production needs of enterprises in the industry. Hong Kong(China)Announces Suspension of Poultry Imports from Parts of Germany and Japan
The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department announced today (October 22) that in response to notifications from the World Organisation for Animal Health and Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries regarding outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district of Brandenburg, Germany, and highly pathogenic avian influenza in Hokkaido, Japan, the CFS has immediately instructed the trade to suspend the import of poultry meat and poultry products (including poultry eggs) from the above-mentioned areas to protect public health in Hong Kong.
